Credit Line Decrement

Lower a client's credit days or amount from the client screen and send that change through the existing approval history.

What You Can Do

  • Decrease the credit amount, the credit days, or both, without opening a credit request.
  • Leave the cutoff type as it is. Changing the cutoff type still opens a request.
  • Ask a second operator to approve the pending history row. Approval is what updates the client's line.
  • Keep increases, new lines, and mixed up-and-down edits on the credit-request path.

Getting There

  1. Open the client.
  2. Open the payments tab.
  3. Choose Configurar crédito.

The modal title is Linea de Crédito.

Common Tasks

Decrease days, amount, or both

  1. Set the new limit and days. Each value must be lower than or equal to the current line, and at least one must be lower.
  2. Leave Configuración de corte unchanged.
  3. Choose Crear Solicitud.

The line does not change yet. A pending row appears in Historial de crédito. Another operator approves that row with the existing approve action. Approval writes the new limit and days.

Increase the line, change the cutoff, or start a line

  1. Edit the fields. This includes raising the amount or the days, changing the cutoff type, or editing a client that has no live line.
  2. Choose Crear Solicitud.
  3. Confirm Se creará una solicitud de crédito para esta empresa.

The screen opens the new credit request. Cancel closes the dialog and does not create the request.

Clear the line

Borrar is unchanged. It records a cancellation in the history. It does not follow the decrement rule.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why did a decrease open a credit request?

The cutoff type changed, one of the numbers went up, or the client has no live credit amount. Only a straight decrease of a live line uses pending history.

Does the pending-apply flag decide this?

No. That flag still controls management authorization on credit requests. It does not choose between history and a request.

Can I approve my own decrease?

Approval rules are unchanged, including who may approve and the long credit-line permission.
